The 3 default languages

Hi there,

in the previous versions of DAI, one could via a system page access the setting for the 3 base languages
I do not find this back right away in the new navigation ?

Hi Jean-Luc,

Use the last tab of the System option (in the Administration menu) to set the 3 dictionary languages.

The base languages will then be available from Dictionary maintenance in Dynamic AI Server editions.

You'll find Dictionary maintenance in the Administration menu. A new feature in Dynamic AI version 6 is that you also have access to create and maintain the base languages directly on the table/View objects from Database Explore. If you click on the drop-down triangle next to e.g. a table in explore - you'll see the options to create / maintain dictionary entries for the table. If a dictionary has already been created the drop-down triangle is green.

In Internet Explorer you'll be able to get to the drop-down menu with Right-click as well.

Dictionary maintenance now also offers SQL Global Columns, specific Roles maintenance etc.
