Version Information

Hi,
Where do I get the version information of the Dynamic AI Server that we are using? Having installed from new in Dec 09 we are only now getting to start work on the development, however I noticed today that the documentation shows features that don't appear to be available in the version I have, i.e there is no AI button and there are no context menus on the report headers i.e. it appears to be an version earlier than 6.3.

ok, answer to my own post found the dlls in the com directory and the version is 6.3.0.22, that appears to be 6.3? So the next question is why am i not getting context menus? Also using the online documentation that i presume was installed with the product makes no reference to context menus, or an AI button.
btw i'm using Server edition if that makes any difference?

Some usual ways of getting version information include

Hover mouse over logo on login screen
Hover mouse over the 5 rings in the bottom right corner after login
In the administration interface, look on the Setup Tab in system settings (general/system)

In order to use features such as AI and the column action context menu, the users must have permissions for them. The Administrator account does not automatically get these permissions.

You most likely need to open the user administration for yourself and add

Am I missing a download location for the 6.4 release or are the release notes for the coming release? The download still says 6.3.0.23 for download and not 6.4. I look for the Personal Edition.

Hi Jeroen,

6.4 is right now technically still a beta version - but we do feel it's very stable and we expect to release in the near future. I will send you a private message with a download link, and then you can decide if you would like to try it.
