Maximum number of records shown on 1 report/list page

Hi everyone,

I know I can set a default for the "maximum number of records shown on 1 report/list page" in "System". But what is the actual maximum of records?
Seems I can't go over 5000 to get a result. When I try to open lists with about 50000 records, I get an error message, even when I set the default to 50000 or higher.
And further, when I try to drill down into a list with 50000 records, dynamic brings up the very same error message instead of making a scrollable list. Why does it do that?

Hi,

It might be the ASP buffer size.

We are currently testing a new methodology that will eliminate this issue to avoid the additional configuration needed.
