HC line not showing fractions?

Postby robinsonky » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:32 pm

I'm graphing average item price per week as [rev]/[qty].

In the table I see the accurate values 3.10, 3.35 etc. However the graph rounds everything to 3 dead, despite showing a y-axis like this

4
4
3
3
2
2
1
1
0

Is this rounding built-in to HC line? How do I change it?

Yes, the current implementation of the high charts suppresses decimal values. [Who knew we'd have so many scientists and nitpickers making BI charts! You're not the first to notice this.] I think this over-sight / bad assumption is slated to be fixed.

In the meantime the only thing you can do is either use the older TCharts -- or adjust the order of magnitued of your totals and then change the label to denote the meaning, i.e. instaed of 3.10, show 310 and label it "Rev/Qty X100"

Thanks Bob,
in fact for this one it isn't as important to show the actual number when I mouseover the data, so I can use the TChart.
